Ingredients
1 lb (450g) provolone cheese, cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick rounds
1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Prepare the Cheese Brush the provolone slices with olive oil and season with oregano, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and minced garlic.
Grill Method Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill to medium-high heat. Place the cheese directly onto the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and slightly melted.
Oven Method Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the seasoned cheese in an ovenproof dish and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until melted and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
