Ingredients
For the Lamb:
1.5 lb (700g) lamb, cut into chunks
3 tbsp (45ml) olive oil or butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
For the Yogurt Sauce:
2 cups (500g) plain yogurt
3 eggs
2 tbsp (30g) all-purpose flour
2 tbsp (30g) butter
1 cup (240ml) lamb broth
Instructions
Prepare the Lamb Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Heat olive oil in a pan and sear the lamb until browned on all sides. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Transfer to a baking dish.
Make the Yogurt Sauce In a bowl, whisk yogurt, eggs, and flour until smooth. Melt butter in a pan, add the yogurt mixture, and stir for 2-3 minutes over low heat. Slowly add lamb broth, stirring continuously.
Bake the Tavë Kosi Pour the yogurt sauce over the lamb in the baking dish. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and set.
